I received a phone call from USF - an Ashley ** was telling me that this was in regard to an uncollected amount of $425 that had been placed in my account back on March 14, 2011 and that they are issuing a warrant for my arrest for fraudulent non repayment of funds and other charges. She said I should have gotten a letter in the mail etc. I told her I never dealt with MyCashNow - she advised that she was not there to dispute things with me but to get a statement from me on how I intended to resolve this issue. She said her client had my bank account information, my employer information and my social and that was all that needed to be submitted to the court for proceedings - I told her that I would think that they - the supposed creditor - would have to show proof that money was actually placed into the account. And since I had already dealt with another collection company about this same company and issue and amount and date, and verified through my bank that the deposit in question was never placed into my account, I would be more than happy to counter sue her company as well as her company for continued harassment that is not justified since I never received the funds. I then hung up on her. I contacted my bank, had them verify that no such amount on or around the date provided was ever done by MyCashNow - total scam... how pathetic!!!
I received a call in late September 2013 from 2166441249 stating that I defaulted on a pay day loan of $ 350.00, and that I was to be subpoenaed in court with a restraining order. I called the number today and the Lawyer named Michael ** from IRS Equity Group, P.O. Box 796 Cleveland, Ohio 44114, stated that I had defaulted on a pay day loan and that they were going to take me to court. It could only happen if they had spoken to me directly. They are to send the court order to the last mailing address of mine. I do not recall taking out a pay day loan from a MyCashNow.com. The man said they also represent Ameriloan (that loan is paid off 2 months ago). I do not know who these people are. Looking on the internet, it appears they have scammed others. Please let me know my rights and what else I can to ward off this action. Thank you.
I received the craziest call not too long ago from number 9042571726. Apparently I took out a payday loan in 2014 (which I did not) and they were ready to file suit against me. I filed bankruptcy chp. 7 in March 2015 and it was discharged July 2015. Even then I had no payday loan with them! So instead of arguing with her I mentioned I have an attorney she could call to handle the court proceedings with and she says, "Oh I'm only the processor I don't talk to attorneys. We'll file suit with your name and social," and hangs up. I tried looking this place up and they don't exist. At least from what I could find. The website doesn't load and only phone number I could find keeps hanging up... 18003982274. Anyone experience this? Or know what to do next? All of my debt has been settled and I keep a close eye on my credit now. Not sure where in the world they found my information.
I called the 866-645-1661 phone number to make arrangements for payment. The representative from Mycashnow said that the only options available to me were that I extend the loan for another 2 weeks or month. I told her that I did not want to extend it anymore, and that I just wanted to make payments because my hours at work were cut. She said that those were the only options I had. Mycashnow did not want to work out payment arrangements with me. This has caused me to be more stressed out. I don't want them to contact me at work. I told them that I wanted to work out some type of payment arrangement, but they refused. They just wanted me to extend the loan.
I rcvd a call from 904.862.2829 today. He asked for my information and I asked him to identify who he was. He gave the last 4 of my SSN. I asked for details and he hung up on. I called back for the name of the company and a supervisor, he hung up again. The 3rd time I called back, he attempted to change his voice and gave me another name. I do not and never did have a cash loan. This is just a scam to scare you into paying something you don't owe.
I received a grammatically incorrect threatening email in which I was referred to as the Prime Suspect from someone posing as law enforcement on behalf of Cash tree who I've never heard of. The "officer" spelled his own name differently twice in the same email. They claimed I've been avoiding them but what I found strange is that they had my address but never sent any mail to my house, no phone calls on my cell or job # but you progress to a threat and ask me to reply and call them to make payment arrangements??? As they say I was born at night but not last night. My last interaction with mycashnow was August 2013 (paid in full) which is when Cash tree claims I took a loan from them.. I think Not!! Now I receive an email asking for $800 to repay a $350 loan that was never taken. These are thieves preying on our fear b/c they have very personal information. This is a scam! Don't reply or click on any hyperlink they provide and do not agree to any terms. A true lawsuit will be issued with a docket number from a court house. I've alerted my bank and closed out the account they had on file. I've filed a report with the BBB and FTC for identity theft. All credit bureaus should also be alerted! Their hope is that you'll be afraid to report them or call them to settle agreeing to things you didn't do and inadvertently providing additional information to them. I hope this helps a fellow victim of this terrible scam!! I believe in Karma..
I have received numerous contacts from people supposedly representing MyCashNow. In all cases, I have returned certified letters indicating that I do not owe this company any money. Today I received a call indicating that they were having me arrested unless I paid the debt. When I tried to explain my history with this company, they said I could "explain it to the Judge". When I asked for the name of the firm, they identified themselves as Johnson's Law Firm in Pinehurst Texas, 832.479.5667. This is a scam and this company has not been dealt with.
I keep getting calls from 904-559-1505 and very scary enough they do have the last 4 numbers of my social, address and previous work and tell me I made an online loan w/ a payday loan for $3000.00 and want me to pay this debt or I will be garnished. I did call them back and ask for their "Business Number" and they told me to look it up. Just wanted to know if this is a legitimate business??? THANK YOU.
I was contacted by U.S.1 Financial LLC stating I was going to have felony charges against me from a $200 My Cash Now loan I took out in 2010. I asked for information such as bank accounts etc, all they did was provide me generalized or wrong information. This entire thing is a scam and it's scary that people have access to information.
They are holding my account hostage.... You can not talk to anyone. I have been a loyal participant in this horrible scam for people in financial trouble. What is going on?
Received call from ** stating owed on a loan from MyCashNow, which is false, at no time or ever applied or received a loan with this company or its affiliates. In the past been receiving many scams regarding loans, recipient of fraud attempts four times, currently retired, service connected disabled Vietnam Veteran, and very street wise to foolish attempts. They get our information no matter what steps we take, JUST BE WISE.
I received notification that my credit score dropped and that I had a new collection account through my Credit Karma account. There is a dispute in place now with TransUnion. I have never borrowed from this company and have no idea who Midwest Recovery Systems is. I am thankful to see everyone else with same issues reported, there are several. This is obviously a scam! I filed a report with the BBB and online police report for fraud. I have a attorney friend who is going to pursue legal action against the company.
I had checked on a payday loan but did not actually want it. I got online and checked my bank account and found they had deposited money in my account. They are calling me 100 times a day saying I need to have a lawyer for lawsuit against me for cold checks, that I was not paying my loan back on time. It was just put in 4 days ago and I did not even ask for it. They are rude and will not give you any info and keep telling you to call some man at the same number they are calling from. I did finally call and he said it was a lawsuit about paying back the loan and I told him I was contacting the BBB. He said, "Go ahead, I will just keep calling until you respond." In the meantime, I have had to "hot card" my debit card and file disputes with my card carrier to get my money back. Hopefully these guys get caught and are charged for all the grief and aggravation they are causing honest people.
I wanted to get an extension on my loan. I always do it the day before the due date but they said I could not do that because the Thursday was a holiday so that forces me to pay the loan off or go through a collection agency. This is a company that doesn't care about its customers' problems, only their greed. Well, they lost this customer and I hope many more follow. PS. Please don't help this company in their greed.
Tried over and over to connect with MCN and arrange to pay my loan via mail. My loan was for 520.00. I paid you 263.28 on April 4th as had been arranged on the phone with their rep. My next bill in May was supposed to be for 263.28 plus 130.60 interest for a total of 393.88 and the loan would be paid off per my conversation with them. While awaiting the instructions where to mail it and to whom I make out the cashier's check, I received an email with my balance NOW showing a total of over 2K!!! I then contacted them again about this new balance... in writing to Canada and by email and have yet to receive any reply. I had also notified their rep that I was a victim of identity theft and on advice from the Attorney General's Office and my bank I closed my bank account. When I requested their rep send me instructions, again, for mailing the payment we agreed on he stated that the West Vancouver address was not for paying the bill and would email me the address. Still, months later, nothing has been received here on my end. Now I am receiving calls from CPD???? Who states they represent MCN??? This made me very suspicious especially since I was now.... after all these years..... a victim of identity theft as well. Then my bank notified me that MCN tried to deposit more money, of which I never applied for, into my old account??? What is that all about?? Where did that come from? Leery of no instructions being sent, high balance, thousands in interest in only 4 days, identity theft, contact from CPD, money trying to be put into my old account and not being able to access my account online...I contacted the Attorney General's Office and the Federal Trade Commission. I was advised, and did, file complaints against both companies, MSN & CPD, and asked for an investigation into their practices. I emailed MCN and informed them that I was going to await the outcome of the investigations before paying another penny. I was afraid my new bank account would also be compromised. Please note: this all occurred because my check that would have paid the loan off in full was delayed being deposited into my bank by 2 days because of a holiday. I realized this the same day the loan was approved. Called IMMEDIATELY to ask for loan date change of 2 days and was told it could not be done but that I could make the first payment, mentioned above, then second one, also mentioned above.Within 4 days total the loan plus interest went from 520+130.60 at 263.28, which I paid, plus another 283.28 at end of month (not paid). Thinking all was set - imagine my shock when their next email to me stated I owed 204.60+2000!! Really?? Thank God for AG and FTC! Hope no one else goes through this ordeal. Thanks for hearing me out! So frustrated.
Received a call from Integrity Financial (or so he said) at work. They stated that I owed a payday loan from MYCASHNOW from back in 2013. I may have had a loan with them but really couldn't remember. I had filed bankruptcy in 2007 and was released in 2013. Told them this and that regardless it was past the SOL for Mississippi which is 3 yrs and that it is uncollectable. He said that it does not pertain to payday loans. He also told me that I had committed fraud but I believe I was already out of bankruptcy at the time. Also I do know that payments were deducted from my checking account which would mean that there was no fraud or they would never have gotten anything out of me. Since then I have learned that it is illegal for a payday loan company to do business in the state of Mississippi unless they are registered with the Sec of State's office, which they are not. And in Mississippi, it is also illegal for a payday loan company to allow you to pay only the finance fee and extend the loan. It is supposed to be paid in full on due date. He was starting to get me riled up and I used the word 'ass' and he started telling me how low I was to use such language. I could have used a lot more of that language but restrained myself. It is not fraud to default on a loan. They called from ** which of course does not pull any info up online.
I received a $360 loan from MyCashnow.com on July 3, 2009. I was unable to pay the money back in the time period they allowed me. The interest was outrageous and building up.In December 2009, I set a payment plan with my cashnow for them to take $50 biweekly out of my account. The settlement amount we agreed on was $652.23. I paid mycashnow $100 in December 09, January 10, February 10. I called in March of 2010 to check on my balance and they had stop taking money out of my account due to ISF. I then paid them the past $150 that should have been taken out so I was caught up to my payments. I was told I had to go online and reset up my payment plans so they could continue to take out $50 biweekly. I did just that and they stopped taking money out of my account again.I received a letter in the mail from National Credit Adjusters saying that they would be able to offer me a substantial discount of 50% off my current balance which they said was $519.64. They wanted a payment of $259.82 and my account would be settled in full. I then contacted NCA on 6/7/10 and explained to them that I already had payment plans set up with mycashnow and every time I have tried to call them, I only got a disconnected sound.I called mycashnow numerous times with no response back. I explained to NCA that I have proof that mycashnow was taking money out of my account and I only owed $252.23. I told NCA that I would make payment arrangements to pay the $259.64 and it was denied. I then told him he will have to take me to court, they responded with an okay and hung up.On 10/6/10, I received a call from an unknown number and spoke to a lady saying she was representing mycashnow and wanted to know if I could pay $519 before it gets sent to court. I told her absolutely not, I have already discussed this with NCA and I have tried numerous times to contact mycashnow and have received no response from them. She kept telling me to putr me on hold so she could talk to the attorneys to see if they could settle for a lesser amount. I then got transferred to a Jeremy **, he told me I could pay $333 today or pay $222 every month for three months. I told him absolutely not. I then explained to him the amount of money I owed and the situation from NCA and the situation from mycashnow and he then put me on hold so he could talk to his attorneys. He got back on the phone and I asked him why his company didn't send me a letter in the mail saying he was representing mycashnow and he said he didn't have to, being this was just one last attempt to see if I could pay it off so I didn't have to go to court. I then asked him how he could say I was being charged with fraud when he had no idea whether or not I had intentions of paying it back or not. He replied and said that it would have been paid off and we are trying to collect it so you don't go to court. He told me that the attorneys he spoke to would settle for the amount I owed of $252.23 as long as I faxed in my bank statements proving that mycashnow was taking money out of my account. We agreed that he would receive a payment of $100 on October 14th, and $152.23 on October 28th. I asked him for his address so I could send a money order in which he said they don't accept any mail orders because they could get lost in the mail and they only accept visa check card/debit card. I said well I'm sorry I am only able to send in a money order. He then responded and said well good luck in court, you can call me back if you change your mind, and hung up.

I got a call from **. I had an experience like most of you. They said that I owed 1000+ for a loan back in 2012. They stated my address, e-mail, and bank. She said she was not a debt collector but more like a mediator, and that I should probably get a defense attorney on stand by. She also said that because I did it maliciously that I closed my account or had insufficient funds, and it can triple and quadruple the amount. She put me on hold to talk to her manager concerning my case because this was new to me and it had to be identity fraud. The response I was greeted with was, "We can submit an application to settle for the original amount."I called back saying I could get records from my bank to prove that wasn't the case. My account wasn't closed and at the time. I probably had the money to cover or I would have received an overdraft charge (I had to close an account for an online company decided it wanted to take money out of my account, but the time frame did not match up). She couldn't provide me with the number for these idiots and said that I would be contacted. What happened to morals? This is what people have to do to make a living? You should be ashamed of yourselves! You will never succeed at anything putting all this negative energy into existence. I am so disgusted!
Though the interest was high, I must admit that it help me to get some things paid on time.
I filled out some payday loans forms, came home, and found money in my account. The loan amount was $400.00 and $84.00 in interest. They never let me know what they were doing. This took the acceptance out of my hands.
I've been reading that a lot of you people on here had some bad experiences with My Cash Now. I've been using My Cash Now for a few years now every time I run low on some cash. I have had zero problems with this company. I usually pay the loan on my next paycheck. As of now, I am a platinum member and I get over 30% off my interest rate. I use them a lot and I recommend this company to anyone that is in need of some fast cash but make sure you understand that they do have fees just like anyone else. That's how they stay in business.
Received an email from my credit monitoring service stating I had a new collection on my account from this company from 2015. I have never borrowed from them, had never heard of them & did not have anything to do with them. I notified the company number listed on my credit monitoring & was told they were emailing me fraud paperwork. I already disputed the claim on my credit report so now, I wait.
MyCashNow.com for taking illegal funds out of my bank - Why is this company putting a charge on my account of $29.95 and in what status do they have the right? Who are they? Yes, I am upset. I called them and raised hell. I called my bank and thanks be to God I am with a secured bank of the U.S. who cares enough to back me up. They have turned this company into the Fraud Department. Make aware to all out here; I for one know this now. Some companies that give money just like that are bogus, that is why so high interest. They use you and give out your information. I do not even know where this one came from, but I am going to get my $29.95 back. Sorry, you have lost, whoever you are.
I received a telephone call from **. The agent claimed I took out a pay day loan for this company in November 2010. She said her name was Investigator Sandy **. Later in the conversation, she claimed she was an attorney. She ended up hanging up on me. I called back. The second person was also extremely rude and hung up on me. I asked for documentation and it refused. It had my personal information but I did not borrow money in November 2010. I intend to report them to my Attorney General.
I received a call like everyone else yesterday, claiming they were trying to serve me a subpoena but no one was answering the door. The number came up as Ocean County Court and the number was 732-929-2067. I told him that I have stage 3 lung cancer and that I’ve been home all day due to the humidity. I verified he had the correct address and said come on over. He said he was already back in the office for the day (it was 11 am) and that he would come back in the morning. He then gave me a number to call to find out what my subpoena was for. I called the number and all I gave was my first and last name and he magically found my file. I was told I was being charged with theft of services and Check fraud due to an outstanding cash loan from MyCashNow. Because I HAD previously taken out a cash advance loan in 2010 and had legit closed my bank account because I moved, I actually fell for it. He said I owed $600 but he was authorized to accept 50%. Normally I wouldn’t fall for something like this but I’ve been on chemo for a while and chemo brain is a real thing. Not wanting to deal with the hassle of court I agreed to pay the $300 because he had all my personal and previous bank history. I gave him my debit card info and he said he would contact the process server and let them know it was settled. Not 45 seconds after I hung up the phone did I realize my loan was from MobileLoans not MyCashNow so I didn’t bother to call him back. I called my bank and asked to have the transaction reversed and I was told I could file a fraud claim the next day as the transaction was still “pending”. I cancelled my debit card so he wouldn’t charge anything else and requested a new one. I then sent a scathing email to the dirtbag (he emailed me a receipt for payment in full... I guess they do that so you won’t think anything is wrong and look further into it) so I sent this email and told him that I realized after I hung up that I never had a loan with MyCashNow and that he was a lying piece of garbage and if I didn’t get my money back by close of business that day I was going to find him and have HIM arrested. Well, of course that received no response so I decided to try the humanitarian route. I asked him if his mother was proud of his career choices since he just scammed $300 from a terminal cancer patient who lives on a fixed income and can barely afford my cancer treatments. I asked how he slept at night and how he could look his family in the face. It went on and on and on... I’m sure I made him feel about an inch tall because within an hour that transaction went away when I looked online. Apparently he reversed it or cancelled it because the money was back in my account and the transaction gone. I must have hit a nerve with him. Apparently some of them have a conscience but it’s buried pretty deep. I then sent him another email and said, "If you’re expecting a thank you forget it." I then went on to tell him everything about myself (not financial or identifying information) and told him I wanted him to know who he attempted to steal from. I told him about having dealt with 2 separate cancer diagnosis, 21 surgeries, my time in the US military, all the charity work I still do regardless of my health... I went on and on. I told him he needed to realize that there were real people on the other end of the phone and that taking money from them was disgusting and immoral and unAmerican. At the end I told him to make a new career choice because he was hurting people with his current one. I’m not sure why he gave me back my money. They certainly aren’t afraid of prosecution because they take steps to make sure they are covered but he did give it back. That makes me believe that the email address had to be real and he had to have read it and because it was real maybe he was really worried about being tracked down or he just developed a conscience. Either way, I got my money and he got an earful (eye full). I can tell you this will NEVER happen to me again. I also think MyCashNow needs to take some responsibility for this. I know it’s not them doing it and they are a legitimate company but the scammers are getting hold of people’s information somehow and it’s likely a current or former employer feeding it to them. They have a moral responsibility since their name is being used to do some investigating of their own.
Have been receiving calls stating that I had gotten a $300 loan in 2012 that has not been paid. They are trying to serve me a summons but I will not answer the door. I called them back at number left only to be repeatedly called a liar, when told them I had never gotten a loan. But if I go on a pay plan with 100 today, they will not arrest me. But must pay $1250. Or clear up today by paying $450 today. Called the bank they said money went into my account, guess what. I have never had an account with that bank! Fraud. They said they were going to bring the summons to me in 30 minutes if I was home. They did not show up.
I was contacted by a collection co. saying I owed MCN $329.95. I argued the point with them that I did not receive any money from them. In the end I paid the money... even though I am on a fixed, small income. They called 2 days ago and said I didn't pay it. I found the info on my bank and told them I did. They gave me 10 mins. to pay it again or I would lose my social security for a felony and I had to call my son and get him to pay it. I talked to the original recipient of the payment and he said I did pay it and returned the money to me. Now they say I have 2 more and there is no way to get in touch with the company. Do I need to pay an attorney now that I can't afford... Who is out there to help with these predators?
I received a phone call today on my cell, as well as these people tracking my relation down and calling them. I spoke with a Mr. ** today (3/6/14) who said I had an unpaid loan from a service called MyCashNow. I have never received funds from this service. He went on about how he had it all right there in front of him, verified my personal information... so I must have either forgotten or I am lying. But yet, he couldn't give me any kind of account info from this service that he is collecting for. Just that I took out a $410 loan and now owe over $600 with interest fees! WHAT!?? He said this was a loan taken out 3 years ago and he was trying to settle before further action was taken. Seriously?? Throughout the entire conversation, he was trying to get me to admit to something that I did not do. Telling me we are only if we have two things... our word and our dignity... and the truth shall set me free... How is this okay?? How are these people still in business? Its like legally scamming innocent people!? First of all... if I was going to get served over a matter they say I did over three years ago... Pretty sure I would have been served by now!! And second... how can they defend something if there is proof of otherwise? These people need to get lives and be shut down!
Scammers. I received a phone call this morning that I owed $500 to this company for a loan allegedly taken out on 1/6/2010. The account they claimed it was deposited into was closed. They claim they found out when they tried to withdraw the money out of the account.
I received a call from 904-559-1620 stating I had a pay loan over five years ago. They stated last 4 of social employer at that time and my bank at that time. I have received several calls from several different collections agencies. This one is Debt. Mediation. They could not tell me the date the account was opened or the original amount of supposed loan. But I owe $500 at this time with fees. They even stated the city I lived in. I advised this never showed in my credit report and I would not say I owe anything if my questions could not be answered. I asked for the number to MyCashNow and was told she could not give that info out and I could google it. But they bought the account and it's so old they would not have the answers to my questions. They stated they could state me to court which would include court costs or they could garnish my wages. I said ok I will call them. I was told they are a blanket lender for many different things and it was better for me to just settle it. I adv I am not saying I owe this until I get my questions answered.
I received a call stating I had been approved for $3000 loan. I did not recall the company name and I decided to look it up with consumer affairs to see this company "MYCASHNOW" was listed as a scam. It was strange the set up they have to picking up the check requesting $295 upfront which would be reimburse. It was just to know that I would be able to pay the monthly amount. If this company is bogus how come nothing is being done to eliminate it. The story sounds too good to be true.
I have used MCN for years and one day they did not take what I owed from my bank account. I called MCN and they gave me another number to contact to obtain my payment. The MCN representative did not go into details but insist I call this strange company. I called the company (do not remember the agency) and they asked for my social security number and date of birth. I told the representative NO WAY and to pull up my information with other information. Well she did and then asked for my banking information to obtain the money. I said, "Hold up, if your company is collecting the payment for MCN, why haven't you received my banking information from them?" The representative could not answer me and rudely kept trying to get me to give her my banking information. I am very concerned with identity theft and refused to give her my information but asked that I Western Union the money to them. I always pay my debts but there was no way I was giving up my personal information when neither MCN nor this new company could explain to me what was happening. I definitely do not want a high interest on what I owe, so does anyone know what I can do to pay my debt in full?
I just want everyone to know that I worked for this company, for a year. Mycashnow, Paydaymax and Discountadvances.com are all owned by the same person, as well as the collection departments. They have a call center, in Chattanooga, TN and Costa Rica, as well. There were also complaints on FTC, so I began to realize that this company is a scam. They say that they don't sell customer info, but they do. I had numerous customers say that their checking accounts were hacked and stole the money. I was reprimanded for telling a customer the truth about a call center in Costa Rica and other info about the company. I really hope someone takes the info and doesn't fall into this trap and scam for Payday loans.
I just checked my score on Credit Karma and found I have a collection against me with Midwest Recovery the original debtor being 12 MyCashNow. I have never even heard of this company and never ever taken a loan from them. Never been contacted by Midwestern Recovery regarding the collection and am phoning them 1st thing Monday morning. Thank goodness I checked on Credit Karma as would not even know about the fraudulent collection. By reading other recent reviews this is obviously some scam going on. Will update when I find out what is going on.
My credit reporting company notified me that I was turned into collections for $900. I have NEVER heard of these people. I turned in a dispute about this account to the credit bureau. From the reviews, it seems like these companies are a scam.
I paid $1,200 in interest this year to take two loans of $750 each. That's nuts from a business perspective. But I've had financial trouble and MyCashNow has gotten me through a couple of scrapes. Unfortunately, people who qualify for credit frequently don't need it and people who need it often can't get it. Anyone using MyCashNow is operating their finances close to or over the edge. Be aware that things could get ugly with any payday lender if you're not able to make your commitment. They've restructured my loans a couple of times when I won't able to follow through on what I promised. I can't call myself "happy" with MyCashNow, but that's only because it's not a very happy way to borrow money. I hope that I won't be desperate enough to have to use them again, but it's good to know that they are there just in case.
Received a call from a representative of this company. Supposedly a loan had been obtained for $1000 in 2012 and unless paid it would be $3000 when it went to court. I do not recall ever obtaining such a loan. I'm medically retired and the reply was, "Well they will just garnish your wages." And, she added, "They have every right to come and take you into custody." Supposedly letters mailed to me were returned and bank account showed closed. She said there were no options since they had no valid information. I was also under a bankruptcy at the time. I haven't moved nor have had any legal issues for a supposed returned check.
So today, I was contacted by a Robert ** with Reed White and Associates stating that I owed My Cash Now $1300 and could settle today for $800. I was told that I took out a loan with MyCashNow.com in July 2010 against a Wachovia account. I asked the man what information they had: #1 they had my maiden name. #2 the year the loan was taken out I was unemployed. #3 the address he gave me that was listed on the loan was my current address for which I have lived in all of 3mths. #4 the phone number that he called and left a msg on has only been in service for 2wks but it is on a 4yr old application. #5 the year that was given was the use of the bank account was completely wrong. that account was closed almost 2 yrs before the date on the application. The man was nice and American, shockingly, but everything that he stated just didn't fall in line with a loan that was taken out in 2010. He asked me about many of my family members which was really weird. It's very scary that people that we don't know have some much of our information and we don't even know it. I say don't pay and don't ever pay until you know for sure that you owe this money. I have never taken out a payday loan from this site. I am not a stupid person but I must admit that they almost got me. Please don't pay these people. I was looking up the company while talking to them. I asked why isn't there a website for Mycashnow.com. I was told that they were out of business. So still while on the phone with him, I proceed to Google Mycashnow and Mycashnow scams popped into the scroll box. I clicked and found this website. I asked him about the scams and he claims he is unaware of the scams. Hope this helps someone else's case. It surely helped me out. I really was almost scared that the police were going to come and lock me up. Not so worried now.
Just received a call from a rep from MyCashNow.com phone number ** stating that I took a loan out with them in 2010 for $200 and now I owe them $1200 but they would settle for $500. Told her that I haven't taken out any loans with their company and in 2010 I was unemployed and I know every loan business has to check employer verification. They gave me names of all my brothers and sisters that I put down as references, some of which I would NEVER put down. I told her that I know that MyCashNow is not a lending institution and she promptly hung up the phone. I believe her name was Mrs. **.
My credit monitoring company notified me that an outstanding bill of $800 from a company called MyCashNow appeared on my credit report. I never heard of, I never used this fake company. I immediately submitted a fraud alert to my credit monitoring company to have it removed. This ticks me off and I hope they get caught. This is hurt my good credit and I hope it can be resolved.
